Titanium folder that won't break the bank?

I'm hoping for some recommendations for a titanium folder in the $100 range. I bought a Boker Anti-MC and I really like the design (slim, framelock), feel, price and weight of it... but it's ceramic so it's been exiled to the kitchen.

Any help? Looking for something about 3 inches to use as an EDC. I'm guessing the first to be recommended will be a Spyderco Sage 2... but I just hate the chubby look of the blade. I'm not a huge spyderco fan, strictly due to the thumb hole and the aesthetics.

May wanna check out the Kershaw Dimension. I'm not sure what you are looking for in blade steel/weight requirements. The Dimension has a 3.0" blade and 8cr13mov steel but is full titanium with a deep carry clip. But it also weighs right at 5oz I believe.

Also, it may be hard to find at the moment as I have only seen one pic of it here on the forums because it was just released as far as I know.

I would suggest you take a look at AG Russel's Gentleman's Frame Lock. Full Ti on both slabs, 3" VG-10 hollow ground satin finished blade running Rc 59-61, two clips (deep carry and regular drilled for 4 way), thumb stud or flipper opening, Hinderer Lock stop. All this plus AG's no questions asked warranty for $125.

I own this knife along with his Acies and Acies2, and the fit, finish and execution on all three are perfect. The pictures on AG's site don't do this knife justice. I wish I had some photos of mine to show you, but google search has some great images.

All great looking knives guys, thanks. I didn't specify the steel or grind because I didn't want to limit the number of responses. Scandi grind in S30V? Nah jk...

The AG Russell is currently in the lead... nice knife. Shame the Titan Drop is 440c... but it's got a great price on Amazon right now.

A little more, but look at the spyderco sage. Nice knife for a good price. Buy quality and you only buy once!

I'll second the sage. If you buy one used here you can get very close to the $100 mark.

Yeah I knew the Sage would be recommended. I just hate the chubby look of Spyderco's blades. That thumb hole just adds too much height and material. Shame because it hits all the other marks.

The A. G. Russell™ Gentleman's Frame Lock looks like a real winner considering that at $125 you're seemingly getting a lot of what the $295 Acies2 has minus the steel. I don't have an A. G. Russell so can't vouch for their quality but sure am interested in getting one. Their Frame-Lock folder at $99 seems to fit the bill exactly.

What's wrong with 440c? I have several Boker Plus 440c blades, and all work superbly. For the price, you should give the Titan Drop a try.

Well, nothing considering the price. I'm not a steel snob, but I'm new to the game so it's nice to try out other types of steel. Guess you could say 440c is somewhat pedestrian, but certainly fine for my usage.

Yep, nothing wrong with 440C.
I don't always agree with Jim, but I sure will when he's right. :D

For the price there is not a better titanium folder around. 9Cr blade, nice grippy G10 that won't shred your hand, flies open like a rocket, and it carries a price tag of under $70. I love mine, and if I can get the titanium stonewashed it might be perfect. All it needs is a tip up lefty clip and it will be flawless.

The knife is the HK Conspiracy, if you aren't familiar with it. Get one, don't think about it.

Best thing about the Conspiracy is that weight the price where it is, you can heavily modify it and still be well off. Stonewashed the handle and blade, wave the blade, drill and tap the handle for more clip positions... the possibilities are endless.
