I found this excellent review with nice pictures by "Andrew L2" on Russian forum. I checked auto translation and it was fairly good!

This titanium dog proved to be from that species of the knives, which fell into my collection rapidly and unexpectedly. Such knives do not sneak slowly, making it necessary to for a long time look at them, gradually understanding their internal beauty, for long weighing everything pro and con, and being slowly strengthened in the solution to complete purchase. Such knives are dug in into the reality surrounding you swiftly and gaily! As if in the stuffy smoke-filled room window unexpectedly was thrown open, it was thrown open loudly and widely! And here already fresh morning wind drives away clouds of tobacco smoke, and nostrils greedily catch this I shrilly flay coolness!

Thanks, Vassili.

P.S. I hope linking to Russian forum is OK it is not really forum competing to BF.

Thanks Thomas! I'll let Andrew know.

Vassili.

BTW if you click on picture there you'll see it full size.

I just got the Junkyard Dog II Titanium and have yet to bond with it. Nothing wrong with it but it looks like it will sit in the safe for awhile. It is nice and light for a big knife.

Because of the grind it is very good for slicing hard targets, because it penetrates deep without too much friction. It was best folder to cut drywall - makes clean deep cut. And stays sharp much longer.

Thanks, Vassili.

Thanks for posting that Vassili! Tell the author I said thanks. If any of the guys on that forum have any questions about the knife I would be glad to answer them, you will just have to translate for me :p

very nice nozh. sounds like your russian friend is really enjoying his TI/SG2 JYD2! i hope he gets a loong, great many uses out of it :D

Very interesting post, thanks. :)

Is the material used in the back spacer of the SG2 JYD II different from the regular JYD II? They each look similar, but there does seem to be a difference in the appearance of the texture.

Those pics were great! Now I`m gonna try and trade my last Spyderco for one!
Kershaw and its designers give you the most Bang for your buck, thank you guys, and thank you Tim for the great design!

"Thanks I did not really expect such a reaction - I just put on paper my thoughts - like brain dump. My brain probably just overvelmed by positive emotions owning this Titanium Dog.
If possible, may I ask for satin finish JYD may be? Also I like choil you did on you JYD (meaning me nozh2002), so does Kershaw any plans to make choils on JYD may be?
I like to say great Thanks to Tim for this excellent knife!
Knife is really pleasant - it catch me right away. I like it from the first look and more I use it more and more I like it. No any regrets. Very solid natural grip, pleasant cut, mуchanics - like in watches, plus powerful charisma and charm! Tim - you are magnificet! Hot wellcome to you from cold Siberia!"

"Will Kershaw start producing Tim Gallean's Punk?"
Dogoni_Weter (Berdyansk, Ukraina)
"Please, make 3" mini ZT300."
Sky (Saratov)
"When will you start production of PackRat?"

It looks like there are no too much questions about JYD, but my friends there take this as an opportunity to communicate with Kershaw.

However I have one technical about knife mechanics which I am trying to trunslate... I'll post it later.

Thanks, Vassili.

Hvost suggesting increase washer diameter to allow better handling of twisting pressure or even put stopper outside handle. At least I did my best to translate it :)

Thanks, Vassili.

kirill_k helped me with translation:
"Maybe it would be reasonable to put the stopper pin behind the blade near the blade butt and cut a short slit in a flipper? So the blade butt and the dead end of a slit would rest upon the same pin, while the blade around the pivot remains solid, free of any holes and edges hence much more durable in case of bending load."

Thanks, Vassili.
