Titanium Military with a stone washed blade?

I have a titanium military on the way and I'm considering taking it apart and stone washing the blade and maybe the pocket clip. What you y'all think? Think it would greatly de-value the knife?

I transplanted a CPM-M4 blade into mine and So-Lo did an etch & stonewash treatment on it. He beadblasted the clip, but left the underside shiny. I like it better this way and use it a lot more because of the forced patina on the CPM-M4.

That looks awesome. Someone should do that to a Gayle Bradley. I think that has an M4 blade as well.

To the right person I don't think it would devalue the knife.

The downside to stonewashing is that you'll need to resharpen it after. Some people see that a large factor in the value of a knife since a blade can only be sharpened so many times.

BTW, beautiful knife gooeytek! Did transplanting the M4 blade give you any issues? I also have a Ti Millie on the way and would like to put a CTS-XHP Millie blade on it, think that would work also?

what i'm thinking for my ti millie is to give the blade a mirror finish. that might be hard though, given the properties of s30v.

The blade fit nicely, and lockup has settled in at around 55% and hasn't moved for the past 2 years that I've used it. I also put an M390 blade on another Ti Military, and that one is also perfect. Consequently, I've put the S30V blades in a CF linerlock handle and a Digicam linerlock, and those have fit well also with the linerlocks fully engaged at around 15-20%. I guess I've been fortunate.

I suspected we'd be seeing that picture again gooeytek.

Big fan of the stonewashed clip. It does a great job of covering up wear, but I'd keep that clean satin blade
