titanium oxide (rainbow) splinter

:odid kershaw ever make a titanium oxide (vib/rainbow) blade splinter? it seems i may have found one...
if so what is the model#? It apears to be a titanium oxide blade with black aluminum handles.

i probably wont be able to post any pictures for about a day till i can get back there, but it definately had the signature kershaw vib coating on the blade, albeit lighter than usual.
 
Yes those are jims. He sold me a purple awhile back for my ol' lady. I like them! Will be intersted to know if they did make one.
 
A vib Splinter? If they did that would be cool, but I'll wait on pics. A lot of knockoff companies use that rainbow. I've seen knockoff Leeks with it.

it kind of looks like the knock off coating, however the design looks dead on and the clip has the kershaw logo. obviously this doesnt mean its real... looks legit, but we shall possibly find out soon enough.
 
All of the splinters were Japan made right? If so I do believe this one is a rip off as supposedly it's made in China with 440c rather than aus8...
 
ok so after loosing the bid on the ebay auction (sorry didnt want to give it away, if it was real...) i did some more research and from what i can tell all splinters were japan made. Plus as far as i can find record of, they never made one with a black handle. Plus the coating on the blade looks horrible in comparison.
after finding a fake out there, it is definately fake, albeit one that looks almost dead on design wise. here are the pics

Yeah doesn't look like the right coating at all. the stainless steel made me laugh on the bottom one! Looks like it was in cold steels font.
 
Wow. Well at least we know there's no super rare Splinter out there. I hate that site you mentioned :barf:
