Titanium Pocket Clip, Hard on my Pants

Hi all, I have a Strider SnG that I currently edc and it's totally ruining all my pants. It's the Lego version with the flamed titanium lock side. I polished underneath the clip to wear it feels very smooth however it still seams to be eating away at my pants pocket. I'm beginning to think it doesn't matter how smooth I buff it, it's still going to shred my pants because it's titanium. Does this happen to any of you? Or any suggestions to fix this. Thanks in advance, Matt

have you tried bending the clip out? i have had to do it on a handful of my knives.

Not sure, but it could just be your pants are just not built as well as you might think. I've carried dozens of folders over the years and the toughest on my pants was the Cold Steel G10. All my Titanium knives slip right out of the pocket (Strider, Sebenza, Umnumzaan, Sage2, ZT0551, XM-18, etc.). The DGG would definitely destroy pants in a hurry, but smooth Titanium? I don't think so.

I agree about bending the clip. A really tight clip will ruin the hem of the pocket--happened to two pairs of jeans I have, both from knives with G10 handles.

stop wearing pants

Yeah, just wear underwear and a bandoleer for shotgun cartridges filled with folders.

I have a few other sng's and they have real tight pocket clips. The one I am currently carrying is not even making contact with the frame. There's a good 1/8" gap between the clip and frame. Still it's destroying my pants. Like others have said I have only had this problem with Cold Steels G10.
