Hello,

I want to make my own titanium low ride pocket clips but Im not sure how to go about it. Do i need to heat it up to bend it? What thickness should I buy? How do I get cleans and precise bends? I have a drill press, 1x30 belt grinder, 5" disk grinder, dremel tool with all the fixins, a bunch a micro files and full size files. Any other tools I might need? If i want to get that rainbow affect on the titanium do i just use a butane hand torch?

First Im going to design it on paper. Lay it on top of the titanium and scribe it out. Cut it out. Grind it down to the scribe line, Drill my holes out. Screw it down to a solid surface and bend it over some 1/8" round stock with smooth jawed pliers. Anything I missing? Any other info would be great!

Thanks,

Chris

I am no pro when it comes to Ti clips but I have made a few. You do not need to heat it up to bend it unless you go past a certain angle I believe its 90 (Could be wrong though).
I usually use between .040 and .050 thick depends on the length of the clip and the knife its going on. Yes on the butane torch for rainbow effect, its called heat anodizing.
Everything else on your plan sounds good, I get my TI from AKS (Alpha knife supply).
