Last week was a truly great week.About 10(maybe)years ago I purchased one of the fully serrated, titanium handled, Police model knives from the Cutlery Shoppe.I had the spine of the knife fileworked in a rope pattern. It is a true beauty.Well,my Dad was going through some hard times and I gave him the knife shortly after I got it.He carried it for awhile then put it away.
Fast forward abot 10 years. My Dad stops by my house last week and asks me to check the edge on his knife.I'm expecting the SS Native that he has been carrying for a long time.Nope it is the Ti.handled Police. He says he wants to give it back. That he has enjoyed owning it,but hasn't carried it in years and he wants me to have it back.:D
I don't think this knife has been sharpened more than 2 or three times. It is as tight as a vault and the only thing wrong with it is some scratches. It is as if someone lightly broke in the knife and handed it back a decade later.Anyway, every time I open it I feel like I'm going back in a time machine. This knife has some really great magic.
thanks Sal,

That's a nice story. Someday you'll probably be able to hand that knife to your child, and tell them how they'll be the third generation to carry it.

Mine in the bottom of HIGHPOINT City Lake!!:( .....damn I miss that knife!!! Oh yeah , its a long painful story!!

I cant think of a Spyderco that isn't :D

That is a great story. There are several knives that I wish would find their way back to me.

toothed-I was thinking the exact thing when Todd told his tale of woe.
Six years-The Ti handles should still be nice:)
When I go fishing now I usually carry an Opinel folder.I just get a little nervous out in the boat with even a moderately priced knife.
Sal- I never had a doubt that this one was built to last.

toothed, how long can you hold your breath:D
It sucks that almost every day I drive by that lake on my way to work and think about it laying on the bottom were only the fish can look at it:( DAMN STUPID LAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
