Have any of you guys/gals ever wanted to have a Plain Titanium Scaled version of the Mnandi ??? I know I would like to have one.....................I think it would look great and would be cheaper as well. There would be no costs involved with milling out the scales for the inlays. Also the lack of expensive exotic woods/ivory would not be needed. Just the CR logo and blasted scales would make a very nice little pocket knife. Plus, it could be personalized with initials, a last name. etc. I know I would be up for one ( Mr. Reeve - consider one sold already to ME :D ). Who is with me ???

For those that don't, you will always have the regular production mnandi's out there, but I think a plain Ti sprint run would be awesome ( remember Chris, save ONE for me :D ) !!!

I would love that...Im not so much a fan of the inlays. I feel they are too much of a fuss in terms of cost and maintenance. I would probably only buy a mnandi if it was solid Ti.

I'm in...I'd like a fancy CR Logo though...like the ones he does on the "dress" versions.

Just a plain Ti scale would be a little too dull for that design IMO. To me, the Mnandi is meant to be a classy and sophisticated dress folder which is why it only has the inlayed option. I wouldn't, however, mind a unique graphic version!

I would like to see and feel the weight of one of those. Im not to fond of my past mnandi I had mainly because it was just too light in my hand. I like to have something a
little more solid and substantial in the hand. Maybe an all ti version would suit me better.

I'd buy one (as long as they make lefty ones) but just taking the inlays out will result in the whole handle being too thin. It would be great if the scales have dome-ish shape continuous from the edge the scale, the highest point being about the same thickness as the regular Mnandies.

I'm in for 1. I would love just Ti as others have said, also unique graphic would be cool. With the thickness problem maybe a micarta 1 would work as and EDC. Did I say I'm in for 1 I ment 3 or 4.

I'd buy one but it won't happen.

This ^

I have been wishing for a plain Ti Mnandi for what seems like a loooong time now. I have even gone as far as to set a bit of Titanium aside for a future project along those lines. A plain Ti Mnandi will not be coming from CRK so one would need to have it done them selves.

Just got my first Mnandi today from TNK and now with it in hand, fully understand how one can own multiples of these beauties. Yes, I would purchase a ti scaled Mnandi.

It would not be a Mnandi.

The inlays "define" the Mnandi (along with the fantastic design and the excellent fit & finish). Also, because the inlays are made from natural materials, no 2 Mnandis are exactly the same!

If you want plain Titanium, buy a Small Sebenza! :D

Kind regards,

Jos

Don't hold your breath, it's been an ask for a long time and it just doesn't float Chris's boat. There was talk and a test done of a Mnandi with Micarta inlays like on the Sebbie and even that didn't look right to Chris (which I still think is a fantastic idea).

Thanks,
-Troy

You mean an annual inlay micarta?

I for sure would buy into a Mnandi with Titanium scales, I think that would be a nice light pocket knife- without the fancy stuff. Not sure about the micarta handle, I would have to wait and see what it looks like.

well i cannot easily afford a manandi, took 3 yrs for the Ummi (25yrs old student..) BUT,

I like the look of the mnandi and it would be a great comanion to my EDC slipjoints, only thing I'm not a fan of woods, prefer bone, stag CF G-10 Micarta...not available on a mnandi but even a "cheaper" plain one would be awesome and great to use so bring it out!
