Has anyone ever seen a knife with a laminated blade using titanium? Is that even possible? I saw a knife with a carbon fiber laminated blade and that got me wondering.

I swear I have seen a titanium/steel laminated blade. Cannot remember who the maker was, but I am positive they exist. I'm sure that another member will weigh in with the company.

Miltner Adams MA-4/II XBOND Limited Numbered Series

Ti and s30v blade. A cool $3500 of pocket change

Is it fused or just glued together? I am a bit suspicious: that could be just a glue or some rivets - or both.
What is exactly the point anyway?

Yeah I don't get a steel/Ti laminated blade. The advantage of Ti is that is it non-magnetic, but if you put a steel core in it then it is still magnetic. I would rather have like 420/better laminate, because it would be much cheaper and just as good.

strider has made its SMF folders with titanium blades. how is the edge retention on titanium?

Warren Thomas made knives like this

He usually use to fuse Titanium whit Carbon fiber or G10.
I have had one of this models, and and there were no rivets, so the blade must be bonded to the carbon, whit a powerfull glue. Because even if I bent it, the 2 materials never left or were visible cracks.

Other than glue the only way I know of to bond Ti/ steel is with explosive bonding !!! I don't know how that would work for a hardened blade but the technique has been used for over 40 years.
