I see so many knife makers regularly using titianium in there knives recently so I decided that for my advanced machining project for my college course I would try out machining titanium. Then I started to look for some and became very confused... Where can I purchase titanium? I'm thinking of just making a frame lock handle (being on the simpler side of things, and I'm not sure if my teacher will let me work on a blade) so I don't really need a whole heck of a lot of the stuff, I just can't seem to find it for sale anywhere that I've looked.

Thanks for any info.

All my bookmarks are on another computer so I don't have the exact addresses, but there are also Halpern Titanium, and I tend to buy from titanium Joe.

They have an outstanding special right now on .050 sheet stock remnants. A little thin for a framelock but perfect for liners and pocket clips. The pieces are quite large, about 1 square foot each, just somewhat irregularly shaped but perfect for knifemakers. I can't remember how much they were but it was very inexpensive.
