Hi Knife Knuts,
I was just filmed catching snapping turtles at a local pond. My Mission MPF was clipped to my pocket in all that wet muck and goo and I was'nt worried about that knife one bit. I would not have done that with my Crawford frame-lock. In situations like this I love the Mission knives.

Those folders have intrigued me, but what I've read about the edge retention and sharpening issues have turned me off, especially considering the price.

All-titanium has its price. With the introduction of H1, it has a less expensive competitor.

I find it intriguing that divers who regularly deal with salt water understand equipment maintenance and make less of corrosion resistance than landlubbers. I have in mind a undersea welder who regularly uses an S30V tanto as an expedient ground electrode. That was one pitted blade. Looked good as new after the refurb.

What are we really after in stainfree blades? No user maintenance at all - but is this a real necessity or just a reflection on us?

I know what you are saying. I treat that MPF with the same respect I treat all my knives. I was taught to think this way though. You must study this. OUT.
