Knives are made of titanium but there are limits to the hardness obtained. Some alloys are not heat treatable and some are.Do you know the alloy ? Titanium knives are best for corrosion applications like sea water dive knives.
The Beta titanium knives seem to fair better as blades if that is what you mean. Most makers are utilizing titanium for liner and locks, pocket clips and maybe some smaller parts. Titanium really isn't going to be up there with steel for cutting and edge holding although some of the Mission marine knives with serrated edges are supposed to cut fairly well and be pretty tough to boot.
Titanium is also a bugger to work with compared to annealed steel. I made one titanium knife and I will never do another one. Half way through I found a few tricks in working with it but it is still very difficult. It is a great metal as far as strength, lightweight and corrosion resistance but it will destroy your cutting tools.
