In the early internet days custom knife collectors often gathered in a prehistoric format known as the knife collector’s list or tkcl. At one point a series of custom knives were made annually more or less approved by someone but still with a variety of custom options. I bought at least one of each. One set was a custom pen with some nice Damascus and a matching fixed blade.. The initials on it are BB. Anyone (a) know who made that one and (b) know much about these knives? I will take some pics.

I made some pens for members. Most were roller balls, but I may have made a fountain pen for someone. I don’t recall them matching a knife. Bailey Bradshaw and I collaborated on a knife. I believe Thomas Haslinger made some knives for the group.

I just searched everything I had with a filename 'Bradshaw'. Plenty from days of old, but NOT The TKCL fixed. I kinda remember it.

David, I could not find the specific TKCL Project, but WOW did I capture a bunch of your early work. The great news is YOUR work looks good. The bad news is I CRINGE at mine. YIKES I was learning!

Michael Fong was another who did a series. Nice little gold lip pearl folder with smooth damascus bolsters.

Yes, Michael Fong did make a folder. I have one, along with a Haslinger fixed blade.

I can't post pics here. I don't have a paid membership. I do have a couple of the Bradshaw blades from orders that were cancelled. I can photograph them and send you a pic, and you can post it to the forum, if that's ok with you.

Yeah, your photography has become quite exceptional over the years!

Thanks!

David

David sent me this photo. Here is one unfinished and one bare blade. They looked terrific when completed.

He still has these if anyone is interested.

I once had the Fong folder, and the Haslinger fixed blade (chefs knife) is in my brother-in-law's kitchen.

Good times!
