Marty contacted me quite a while back about doing a mod for him. He had a barlow that he wanted some work done on, but once I checked it out, we agreed that it wouldn't be worth the time. He instead chose a TL-29 mod.

He asked if I could post pictures for him...

So, this mod started out like most, using a TL-29 like this one, but newer...(file photo)

Marty gave me just about complete artistic freedom on this. He decided on a single blade, easy open with bottom bolsters. He also chose some amber wormgroove bone for the covers.

Okay, enough chat, time for the pictures...

This turned out to be one of my favorite builds. It's just got everythng I like in a traditional knife. I was sorry to see it go...

That's awesome Glenn. Makes me want to drag out one of mine and send it to you.

I felt like a kid at Christmas when the box from Glenn arrived and when I opened it I had to double che k the address and ensure this work of art was my new companion. This knife is everything I was looking for in an everyday carry knife and even more. I told Glenn that I had carried a tl-29 unmodified just about everyday since starting my Army career and was looking forward to a modified version without the screwdriver since I already had one of those. Boy did he deliver I have said it before but this might be "the one" thanks again Glenn.

that looks downright breathtaking Glenn, you will be the first to go to when I finally decide on work for an old schrade walden pen knife of mine. BRAVO!

Just amazing work. I love the tear drop bolster!! The bone turned compliments the knife very well!! Superb job, Glen!!

'Ol Glenn knocks another one out of the park!
I'm not a big fan of most worm grooved bone, but that sample is exceptionally nice, love the dark rich colors, congrats popech47.

That´s great, just great!! A real beauty became this old battlehorse :)

You are a very skilled man. Popech47 will love this special and unique knife.

Very nice, Glenn!

I like that way that one looks - it has a very traditional, antique look to it.

Thanks for the pictures -

best
