Here's some help with posting photos...

Very nice, thanks. We also have this:

The first two instructions will get you up and running. The next two are in more detail for more complex situations.

1. Paid members can upload from their computers, but anyone can open a photo hosting account.
I use www.photobucket.com . Download your pictures and they give you a URL for each picture.
Use the fourth URL, with the tags already in place. Copy & Paste that in your post here.

2. Another way: go to [url]http://www.imgur.com[/url] and upload your image.
After uploading, select the BBCode option - it starts with [IMG]. Copy & Paste to your thread.

3. You should also [URL="http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/353471-READ-THIS-FIRST!-How-to-ask-questions-that-get-answered"]READ THIS FIRST! How to ask questions that get answered[/URL] which includes photo posting instructions.

4. For a detailed TUTORIAL: Displaying your photographs on BladeForums

Welcome to the forum!!

I'm not completely sure which TLs you are looking for....

I'm on the hunt for Camillus TL-29s myself. Not really looking for other brands right now. It's the perfect pattern and style for me. I'm looking around for them a lot. I have seen a few on e-pray claiming to be NOS or unused and with a pocket pouch/sheath, but they are a bit spendy for me. One listing still had them inside the plastic pouch.

I found one in a pawn shop for cheap, and my wife found one at a gun show for a moderate price. They were in good shape.

Some of the e-pray listings that were claiming new and unused, but in the pics you could tell there was some blade damage. Be careful with e-pray. Request additional images if possible.

Not sure if this helped at all. Good luck.

If you want to directly upload pictures from your computer, you need a paid membership. But any registered member can upload to a picture hosting site and post pictures from there.

1. I use www.photobucket.com. Accounts are free, although I have a paid account.

Open an account.
Upload your pictures.
Once uploaded, click on the picture you want to post. The picture will enlarge and take up most of the screen.
Mouse over to the right side of the screen and see "Links to share this photo".
Copy the IMG link. Paste into your post. Done.

2. Another way, go to www.imgur.com
Upload your image.
Then select the BBCode option - it starts with .
Copy & Paste into your thread.

No problem, Hans. :)
If I figured out how to take pictures, save them, and post them here, I'm sure you can, too, eventually!:D
Welcome to The Porch, by the way! ;)

I hope you know that the TL-29 did not come with a sheath. It was either issued alone in a tool box or was one part of a lineman kit. I forget the number of the kit.

This is the only official 'leather' sheath I have ever seen for a TL-29. Lots of times the pliers have been replaced. 300

Welcome to the forum Hans. Can't help you with the sheath but just maybe this will help posting pictures.
I use Imgur.com as my hosting site and it's also free
After you've signed up on imgur you will see your user name in the task bar click on the pull down and click on images
you will see auto resize click on 640x480 (message boards) making sure it then appears next to the auto resize
Then drag and drop your photo into the photo box.
After your photo has uploaded and appears in the image box click on the image
The image will appear in a new box with some options then click on the clipboard icon next to the option for BBCODE (message boards and forums) it will say copied when done and then just paste it to your thread and your done.
Since we are talking about TL-29's here's a picture of a couple so you can see how your photo's will look using this. Also if you want to see what it will look like in the post click on either Go Advanced or Preview Post.
If you are still having trouble posting your pictures send me a Visitors Message and I'll help you.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if the sheath was made by a rigger, or other somesuch person with access to leather, fasteners and a sewing machine.

Our PR's made stuff for people all the time...

Probably any leather shop worth it's salt could duplicate the one you have.

I've never seen a TL 29 with a sheath other than the combo, most guys would find one that fit and used that if they wanted to carry just the knife.
