Is the screwdriver blade hardened enough to hold an edge? I would expect it to be softer so that it doesn’t snap when used as a screwdriver.
Good question. It felt pretty hard when I was shaping it, and seemed about like the blade when sharpening it. I generally use the spear point as my main blade, reserving the locking sheepsfoot for piercing cuts... will have to make a point of using it more to get a good comparison.

So after more use, I've been unable to discern any noticeable difference in edge retention between the two blades. I cant confidently say that it doesnt exist, but I will say that the screw driver blade holds a perfectly serviceable edge. I would use this knife to dress and skin a deer, maybe even break it down, with confidence that between the two blades no mid-job touchups would be needed.

To further elaborate, I've been mostly using one that I made out of a cheap Kutmaster knife... where the two blades most certainly do appear to be different steels. The screwdriver is noticeably more stainless than the knife blade. On the Camillus pictured any difference between the two blades is not visible, and I theorise it would be even less of a concern in that case? Further experimentation might be needed.
