Hey tknife in your pic of your field knives I see that you have a Ritter MK3 at the bottom how do you think it would hold up as a ONLY ONE knife to have with you when sitution happens ie you have slightly missed your way and have to spend a couple of nights out in the boonies till you get your bearings and get your self back on the right trail and right direction.
Take care,
Bryan

I'm basing this strictly from handling the knife, and using a Ritter/grip folder quite a bit, because I have not used the MK3 much. But I think it will handle just about anything you could need to use it for. The blade shape and handle are really well suited for field work. It's just a hair over 1/8", so it is stout enough for batoning and still an excellent slicer. I wouldn't feel under knifed in the least if I was packing it. I just got too many other knives around the same time, and have been using those more :)

Thanks tknife I have one and think it is a pretty good knife. But I still carry for my edc a Chris Reeve Shadow III. I have battoned with my MK3 and after a couple of months I noticed the handle was loose. Well I tried to tighten the scews up but it did not work the insert that the little screws screw in to was damaged so I called the company that handles the ordering and got a fellow who said he would send out the replacment parts but when they got here guess what was missing the part that I needed was not in the package just 4 new screws so I just kept the scale handles off and wrapped the handle in green para cord and have been using it that way since, it works works great. That is one of the reaseons I like knives that have full tangs that also happen to be there handles too. I would hate to be out on a real adventure say where you just spent 8000 dollars for hunt of a life time and have the knife that has a stick or even a half tang and have the handles come apart. That would be my luck. Well any ways thanks tknife for your comments.

Hmm, sorry to hear your handle came loose. I figured they would hold on better than that. Check with Benchmade too, I have found their customer service to be excellent.
