Considering changing blades between two Buck Mayo TNT's I own. Before I start, my question is, are the blades precision cut in the tang and pivot area so that blades will interchange? Or, are the blades hand-fitted to each lock?

Since acquiring the 172's, considering changing my name to "Buck Rools"

C Ben Susrool, nice knife! I have one and have taken it apart several times. The two blades "should swap" alright. With this expensive knife, i heat (with a soldering gun) each screw to warm-up any loctite that may be present. Then replace with BLUE loctite or equivalent.

*just highlighting blue loctite because I have used red in the past and, well, I hope i don't have to take them apart again ;)

*question, why the swap? Walter

Thanks for the heating tip. Didn't know if the screws had some sort of locktite on them or not.
Actually two different shapes of profile of blade. One knife has been "de-horned" and I want the blade with largest (deepest) profile on it. Current blade has steeper swoop up to point on edge.

i tapered mine down about 4 milimeters, starting at the thum hole to the tip.
