What's the URL to the TnT's on Tom's site ? When I click on the "Mayo knives" icon, nothing happens. I assume it's a problem w/Java under MacOS X.

Thanks,

Mike

sorry mike.....I wrote my webguy about this...unfortunately he is camping in Mexico and I dont know squat about how to change it.. sorry!

Guess I must be set up to use frames. Looked at that page 2. Many knives. Only 2 were good tho. All the others had all sorts of holes in them. Do you think that is the frames problem?

Try http://www.mayoknives.com/tnt.htm

Like the link Jerry posted, this one takes you directly to the first TNT page. From there, you should be able to navigate the five different TNT pages without using frames.

Just in case, here they are separately:

http://www.mayoknives.com/tnt.htm
http://www.mayoknives.com/tnt_pg2.htm
http://www.mayoknives.com/tnt_sizes.htm
http://www.mayoknives.com/tnt_clipside.htm
http://www.mayoknives.com/tnt_fabricate.htm

Tom's site uses frames for the menu on the LH side, which you won't see on the above links.

On top of using frames, the main menu on Tom's homepage uses java in order for it to work. If the Java feature is turned off on the browser, the menu does not show. I personally have java turned off on my home computer browser because of potential security issues with IE5 & Mac. There is no secondary text menu available on the homepage to handle situations when your browser cannot handle Java.

What Fire Hose said is correct. But more to the point, Java Virtual Machine is really bad on the Mac, that's why most of us turn it off. I'm also disheartened to know that Tom is now using Java as well. Gotta now add him to my sites to avoid list, along with Triple Aught and Mike's Tactical Knives. :p

But is this a problem under OS X as well (which is Michael_Aos' question)? There should be an option in the preferences menu to turn on Java (if you're using IE 5). I haven't messed much with OS X because I'm waiting for Adobe and Macromedia to carbonize their products first.

Rant: However, the world should know that Javascript is sufficient, and should avoid using Java altogether. For all of you planning to create web sites, please take this to heart. As most programmers will tell you, Java and Javascript are not the same!!! (My wife knows.)
