My son (and my wife & I too) wants to wish all of our Armed Forces members, police, firefighters, EMT's, and everyone else who work so hard to keep us safe -
HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!
Especially to you folks over in Iraq and Afghanistan.
We were getting ready for church this morning, and he told us he was going to wear his camo clothes, in honor of our Servicemen & women who are serving all over the world. Quite frankly, I was really moved by this gesture; he did it entirely on his own. Just when you think your kid is out of the 'cute & innocent' stage, he goes and melts your heart all over again.
So here's my son, Elias, "in uniform"!
He was trying to smile, but it was very bright out.
