I just wasted 1 1/2 hrs reading someones thread complaining about how HOGs showoff their collections. Well PLEASE DO NOT STOP. According to Amy I am a piglet in training at best. I found BUSSE too late in life. About five years too late is my guess. I am a limited knife collector (more a wanabee knife user). I will never have a big Busse collection, but getting a chance to see (and lust after) the knives posted here is soo appreciated. I am not a HOG. I would describe myself as a piglet, a mouse and a puppy. (Well a 300 lb puppy).
I love reading your humour, your HOGDOM, your RATDOM, your DOGDOM, etc. You are an exclusive club that anyone who wants to can join.
I went to Blade West for the single reason to meet skunk. I ended up meeting several HOGs and 360Jules and Vickie. I also ended up buying three knives (should have bought two more, my bad). I completely injoyed meeting the people I meet, just as I enjoyed reading their comments and threads.
You are a family. Ther must be a reason I spend so much time on the several Busse Forums.
Some hate the secondary market. I now realize that without the secondary market I would have no chance of getting the knives no longer in production.
Well enough Mush. Keep up the fun guys.

:D :D I'm kinda new here myself, and this IS a cool place to be. I'm not a really social person, but I'm looking forward to meeting a lot of these fine HOGS at my very first BLADE show this summer. Fun crew here, and I'll continue to post pix for as long as this crowd wants to see 'em!! My favorite move is to post some cool pix, and then ask these old school HOG's to HUMBLE this piglet by showing me pix of their sweet, sweet INFI swag! :D:thumbup::thumbup:

I’m new too, been around under another name since April 2006 found Busse in July.

But I have to say that the people that hit and run with negative posts are getting me down. It isn’t the negative postings themselves but the all the crap that follows. I admire Progunner for his posts when we get those guys in here and I wish we’d all just let Progunner post one simple reply to those threads and then let them sink like the turds they are.

In fact I’m going to go copy some of the posts and save them in a word file and just post them when the next batch of people come here posting because a) they didn’t get one of a limited run knife, or b) think they know how Jerry could make more money and c) think they have anything to say about how much knives sell for on the exchange or how many anyone person should buy.
 
Couldn't agree more. I don't have any Busses so I'm not even a piglet. I've been eyeing them for about a week now and I hope I'll find the one I'm looking for soon...till then these pics are as close as I'll get.

For the rare ones this is definitely as close I'll get so a big 'thank you' to all the hogs who show off their knives. :thumbup:


As for the negative posting, I'm not sure that kind of stuff will ever go away. I say just ignore those threads and let them die. :cool: Btw, Tony I think you hit it on the head when you talked about entitlement. Sorry for straying, that's all I've got to say about that.

BRING ON THE KNIFE PICS!!! :D

when they come, it has been around a gw release. in the last six months probably a dozen similar threads, at least.

i think it is up to all of us to say what we think. i think it is important to let these posters know how we all feel and that we stand together and wont allow anyone to just come here and throw insults and accusations. in the 'top ten' thread, i dont feel i was rude, but direct. although you or many may disagree.

im not someone who can keep his mouth shut in the face of injustice or general stupidity.

I don't disagree with you.

But I like the way Progunner and OldPhysics deal with those guys. I'm more of the OldPhysics kind of guy as I don't need to come here to get a dose of stress in my life. I need to fight my own battles all day.
 
Hey Ron, I'm in the exact same frame of mind... I love Busse, and although I've only known of Busse knives for about 6 weeks, I already got a CGFBM, which I love!!!!

Everyone here is fantastic, some great threads, and I cannot STOP looking at the Busse Porn... ;)

I enjoy posting pictures just as much as I enjoy seeing others....Bad Mojo is a great sight, but between our little family here, we have many more and better pictures.....users and abusers...art pictures comparisons.....some knives look completely different from picture to picture and subtle nuances of the same blade can lead to quest to find one like it......and for me the hunt is the second best part of this. Many exchanges with folks have been truely enjoyable...and some near deals....just keep me hunting and badgering the same folks for blades they don't want to give up!!!

If it wasn't for David Brown's pictures of his AK I probably wouldn't have been after one. You can really see what a blade can do thanks to all the amature photographers out there! Keep up the great work and

Regarding the other statements about the hit-and-run tactics, I agree with Tony G: The best response is tact. I aspire to that degree of reasonable and calm response.

Whatever you think of Cliff, he is the master of ignoring insults thrown at him left and right then just answers with the facts (as he sees them.)

Now Isaacson? He's just a Bully!
 
What amature photographers? I thought we were all Pros??? :confused:
 
Namely that Gravelface....his photos are usually fuzzy and he uses the same damned stump for most all of them!
 
The pictures keep ME going. Please keep them coming.

As for Hog status -- I'm not sure you really need to own INFI to be a Piglet. I believe the aspiration alone should be sufficient...but we can always ask Jerry.

Occasional negative threads or not, I still like being here.

Believe me, a negative thread (which you can ignore) is a lot better than bonehead stupidity and rank partisanship. Washington, DC -- what more can I say???:D
