To All The Newcomers

Hey there. Im pretty new to the forums and i dont know many people here yet. My name is scott and im addicted to grinding steel. About a year ago i injured my back and did some damage to my spinal cord. I was layed up for a while and when i was able to wheel myself around the house a little i would get bored and tinker at my workbench. One day i decided to make a knife. It looked more like a prison shank than a knife. That was a life changing moment. Since then i have gone from wheelchair to walker to cane and now im walking again. My blades have gone through the same changes and are now less shankey and more knifey. Bf has been such a cool place to learn and gather knowledge that i would never find elswhere. Im still looking for some makers in the western mass area to get in touch with and do some brain picking. Im always willing to bring the beer. Jk your knves are awsome by the way. Consider me a fan.

hey scott. you might want to put that in the link john posted. more eyes will probably see it.

with that said....nice to meet you! i grew up in Mass. Northshore. Byfield. Glad to hear that knifemaking got you through a tough time. and, i am especially glad to hear that you have recovered.

thanks for the post.
