Is it possible to take out the assisted opening mechanism modding it to a manual?
How hard would it be to do so?
I really like this knife but the deployment mechanism is what prevents me from getting it :(

Thanks

The nitrous stryker uses a leaf spring cut out of the liner to assist the blade in opening. The only way to remove it would be to cut it off.

If it is the Stryker that has the little roller between the arms of the nitrous mech. all you have to do is remove the scale and remove the roller and re assemble. That is what I did with the one I had. Great knife but do not care for ao.

I stand corrected

This works, but the AO does help the detent to keep the knife shut. I removed the roller on mine for a while, but found the blade didn't keep shut as reliably as I'd like so I put it back in.
