..to bolster or not to bolster, that is my question..

I am considering a few different hunters. I am likeing what I see and read about BRKTs. What is the opinion of the knife-nuts out there on bolstering? I like the looks of it, but what are the practical advantages/dis-advantages in a hunting/GP knife? Is it worth the extra expense?
