to buy or not to buy

I liked mine, and carried it for almost two years.

The edge chipped under light use intially, but after the first sharpening, I never experienced any more.

The Lock never failed, but I did have some reservations about it. If you push the stud to the side, the stud will move slightly, and keep the knife from closing. Moving it back to the center will allow it to close again. I didn't like the fact that you had to move the stud forward to unlock it. I never experienced a problem with it, but a slip of the hand forward might end up closing it accidentally.

The torsion spring eventually broke, but Kershaw took care of it by sending me a new knife. I just traded it away for a Dejavoo.

I think its a good knife, but there are better ones available for around the same price.

I'd say yes, but I got a screaming deal on mine. It's worth $95, in comparison to some of the BM, but then again I think most of the $125 BM aren't worth that at all.

Anyway, I really like the feel of the handle, very robust, and the extreme recurve works well. Each part of the blade cuts like it's a total different knife and I haven't had any issues with the lock.
