Since I have discovered this forum in January it has become a valuable tool for me in many ways. I am a truck driver and often I am gone for long lengths of time and this forum has been a great means of learning about a product I am interested in or ask a question or sometimes something as simple as a place to talk and see other people interact on variey of subjects. That is why I like it here.
 
I don't really deserve to be given anything else here. I have received more knives as gifts, loans and deals since stumbling in here. I have made more friends, physical and cyber. I have had more attachment, entertainment and heartache in this forum. I wouldn't trade my friendships, experiences here, or my knives for anything. (Not a real entry. just had to say somethin' though.)

I'm not "in" on this generous contest either, it's obvious I can afford to pay, but have not yet. I know money makes the world go 'round, but I try and pay my dues thru sharing my time with fellow knife fans.

Bladeforums has its pros and cons, it's good folks and a few bad apples. But I return often and contribute when I can because I got so much education thru lurking, it came time to start contributing / participating.

Well, since I joined blade forums I've really gained a mass of knowledge about the world of knives and their use. I think I've become a more experienced/responsible knife user through it. I've also made many friendships and I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting a lot of you. Lots of laughs on this forum. It's also given me an avenue to express myself and has decreased my use of google search. Thanks for the giveaway and let's make
It 10000000 more posts! Oh, and most importantly I've acquired knife wanting diseases. The knife bug always comes back.

I found this place after i got a bunch of chipps in my Fallkniven knife, did not like the knife and were looking for some new quality knives. Found out that Busse Combat existed and that the place to learn more about the company and the knives in general was this forum.

I dont have a lot of posts, i dont know much about different steels and heat treatment so i dont have much to say.
But! I use knives alot, both in my spare time and at work.

BF is the forum for information, a place to learn from the best and be "close" to the makers.
Here in Sweden a lot of the US makers are pretty unknown, as for example.. Everybody in my platoon have som kind of fallkniven knife..

I've found a lot of new companies and makers who makes great knives, learnd a lot of everything, and well.. BF is like a Bible for me.

The negative side is that it makes me poor and my girl complains haha.

(sorry about the language, im Swedish, sittin on a bus with my smartphone)
 
voracious, this is very generous of you. I'm not going to get in on the contest, basic account works for me, it should go to someone who requires it more than I. But I very much like the people here, always wanting to help, which is cool. Case in point voracious's contest!! Life is good :thumbup:

Thanks for the opportunity!! However, I would like to know HOW you go about becoming a "gold" member here?? I can't seem to find that info anywhere?? (and yes!! I have tried the search option) Any help would be appreciated
 
Congrats on 100th.

Love the forums because they are very informative, Got me into EDC and survival knives. Purchased ZT560, Busse TGLB and NMFSH-LE and been visiting the site daily as a new addiction!
Next step: research of knife sharpening tools on BF!
