that is my question

i have an 80s era Parker Edwards Damascus stag handle folder. Overall, the knife has seen some wear, and there are several spots on the blade. I don’t intend to sell this knife as it was handed down to me by my dad- I am just wondering if I should try some cleaning up of the blade or if I would regret fiddling with it.

Here’s some shots of the blade:

Alcohol + paper towels. I think those "stains" adds character. Unless it's rust. If it's rust, there's lots of peeps here that'll steer you the right way of gentle &/or natural cleaners/scrubbers. Till then, I'd wait. I've got a few blades from gramps & dad. One from gramps served in WWII. I dare not touch that thing but with micro fiber cloth & oil. At least I think it's old patina. o_O
