To the admins -

I seem to have all my subscriptions - so you may have already done this but....

Wouldn't it be very easy to restore the last backup to a test database and then dump the subscriptions table to a backup, then run that restore back to the live forum database?

That is what I would do if I had deleted the subscriptions from my forum.

best regards -

That'd be one way to do it. I'm not fond of messing with the databases however.

Hi Spark -

I know what you mean - but it is very helpful to be able to work outside of phpmyadmin or whatever your stack offers.

My db is only about 1.6gb right now - so I can imagine your backups etc take 5 minutes or more to run. That said, I see where people will edit the entire dump and grep through to find the table etc. etc. - not for me.

I have a ton of recent experience with vb and mysql since I had a lot of trouble getting my board upgraded to 3.8. I created a test database and loaded all my data to that - then did the upgrade there to see how it would go - then closed the board and did the upgrade on the real database. Works slick.

I still have all of my subscriptions - so it all looks great from here.

best regards -
