To Glass or not to Glass - That is the question

Late at night I sometimes hear the GS scabbard under my bed saying "fiberglass me". At first I thought that it might be the triple bean burrito that I ate but that sound is different. A fiberglassed GS scabbard - what do you guys think?

Tis nobler to suffer the fruits of your labor than to listen to the scabbard all night long. Sorry, I couldn't resist. :D

Since there is such massive support for me doing this ;) and I still have some glass mat and resin left over from doing the cardboard sheath, I will glass the GS. As many people know from the TV coverage of the last election, many in people in South Florida cannot follow the simple instructions for use of a punch card voting machine. These same people could not possibly understand the complex instructions for not wrapping your hand around the K's scabbard. It is for these people that I dumb down the safety instructions for inserting and removing K's from a fiberglass scabbard.
NEW INSTRUCTIONS
1. Do not place any of your body parts between the point of the K and the opening of the scabbard.

ps
Pics will be posted in a few hours when I finish the scabbard.

It took me three hours to fiberglass the GS scabbard (see scan). All of the voids between the tool pockets have been filled-in and the frog has been adjusted to fit the larger diameter scabbard. The scabbard is now strong enough to use as a tool or weapon. A bonus benefit is that the sharp points on the brass tip cover no longer act as a skin scraper:barf: .

Will,
Scabbard has gained approximately four ounces. One ounce of mat and three ounces of resin (four coats).

Uncle Bill,
It was nice to finally be able to sleep through the night without hearing that scabbard noise from under the bed. I didn't drill holes in this scabbard because the new frog is flexible enough to turn the scabbard upside down without removing it from my belt. I'm not too concerned about being caught out in the rain down here but I do worry about bat droppings getting on my equipment while I'm doing research in the local caves :D .
