My question is, are there any plans to add 1095 to the Custom Shoppe steel offerings? 1095 just seems so "Buck" (more than ATS 34 or Damascus if you ask me) and I've seen many others on this forum expressing this wish as well. I saw one guy in the "Traditional Folders and Fixed Blades" forum who was expressing dissatisfaction with his new Queen Mtn Man Lockback in Sambar and 1095, and he indicated he was going to return it and get the same combo from the Buck Custom Shoppe. He must have been crestfallen when someone promptly informed him 1095 was not available. I can see why he assumed it was though!

Since the Buck 110 is the quintessential, prototypical, American original folding hunting knife, I think it would be a shame if it were never offered in this classic, and excellent steel. Plus, stag and 1095 is a classic combo in my opinion, like bacon and eggs, pizza and beer, etc. etc.

If the reason is because it rusts, I'll keep mine oiled, I promise!

Thanks and please excuse the rant.

I'd be second in line to order one after you, (BTW it was me that informed over in the traditionals forum, ;) ), I would love to have a 110 in D2 or 1095 if they offer them.

You know, it's funny. I've been considering posting a thread about this topic the past couple weeks now. As much as I love having the newest super steels, I think 1095 or even 0170-6 would help add even more character to the 110.

I agree that 1095 would be a great steel for a 110. I think Buck would be pleasantly surprised at the amount of interest it would generate.

 1095 110 would be awesome. I would buy one evan if I had to use the credit card to get it.:D

I've been longing for a 1095 110 for years. Not only that, but what about some slipjoints in 1095? Hell, I'd be fine with 1095 on everything.

I like 1095 by the way.
