To Lock Tite or Not to Lock Tite?

I'm mainly asking about the blade pivot screw.
Just wondering if after I find the perfect tension for blade opening, if it's a good idea to Lock Tite it in place.
The only reason I wouldn't do it on my SERE 2K is because it has Teflon washers which might compress with time and require retightening which would be more difficult with Lock Tite on the pivot screw. I must say that the SERE's pivot screw hasn't backed out yet. However, for other knives with Phosphor Bronze washers, this might be a good idea (excepting the Sebenza).
Your thoughts?

On all the walker lock folders I make I use medium strenght loctite, or threadlock. When It comes to factory knives, many do loosen with time, but some never need it. I would only use it if the pivot screw has a tendency to loosen. If its not a problem dont fix it!

After all you can always go back and do it!

and as far as getting loctite out after you've used it, you can use a heat gun, hairblower to help lossen it. Also on one of my personal folders I use, when I want to readjust the pivot I back the screw all the way out then fit both pieces togther and screw the pivot into the other in till it bottoms out. This helps loosen the loctite enough to be able to adjust it right (before reinserting the pivot into the frame).

If it ain't broke don't fix it.

I haven't had any problems with the pivot pin in my SERE backing out. If you have some problems with a pivot screw loosening all the time just pick up a bottle of the blue loctite, it is the removable strength. I put a drop on the pivot of my Commander, and it has allowed the pivot to stay exactly how I want it.
