I just received my 3 Rat Pack patches today..

Really nice product.. go get yours now peoples!
Its a recommandation from your Doctor.. ..Burn

Wasn't sure where to post it so you dont miss it but here is probably the appropriate spot to say thank you to Mr and Mrs S!
 
yes they are velcro backed, with a matching front piece to sew to a pack if it dosn't already have velcro on it.

I bought some of these and the lighters as well.
They are great pieces.
The patch is awesome and the lighter catches a few looks too.
 
im still waiting for a Maxpedition Vulture II , who got velco on it.. i could just remove the back part of the patch and apply easy..

Question is: let say the pack i got don't have any velco.. do you recommand sewing the patch directly.. or keep it clean and sew the velco back part

1) sew the back velcro part to the bag.. apply patch (clean look) possibility to loose it
2) sew directly the patch without the back part (probably with a black strand around the the text and the white border, or with a white strand directly on the outer white limit of the patch) less likely to loose it
 
i suggest sewing the backer on. That way you can take it off or swap it out if you have something else you want to put on it.
