I want to send out my best wishes to all our friends on the east coast, stick to drum , Morrow and many, many others that this forgetful old mind doesn't remember. My prayers are with all of you !

Dave

Hello guys. Thanks for kind wishes, it means a lot. Fortunately my home area is more or less ok. I'm likely not going to work until next week, Manhattan is royally screwed, no power below 40th street, and I work mainly on 34th and 36th. Can't even get in since the subways are shut down and the tunnels going into the city are flooded. NYC schools are shut down, so at least the wife is home with me.

Most of our friends got out of the zones that were devastated, although I'm still trying to track down one, may go out to Long Island tomorrow to see where he may have evacuated to. My neighborhood is mostly alright, but there are a crap load of downed trees and limbs. I've been helping people clear some of it away, since they're trying to cover the broken windows and damaged cars. My friend's ESEE Junglas is helping greatly, and my ZT0303 has been quite the help with rope and duct tape trying to move large branches, close up car windows, and fix gates. I'm not going to be the neighborhood hero, but I'm trying to help some neighbors who are really screwed.

Anyway, thank you Dave for the kind words again. It is much appreciated. By the way, you have a bit of moolah in your PP. I need more...tools. :D Cheers my friends!

I was thinking this all day. My daughter had 2 teeth pulled and we watched it on twc for awhile. I had to explain to her how dangerous it all could be. I hope All is well! And I hope my care package to Stick gets to him!

I agree Kyle. I hope that everyone had the right tool for the job, and hope to hear all is well.

We got strong winds on the bottom side of it (50mph) for over 24 hrs, but nothing bad here.

There you are! Glad to hear you are safe.

Glad you are doing well, it sounds like an adventure at the least. I hope too many people dont get hurt in this and the cities recover quickly. Stay safe.

Is Chester in the danger zone?

I used to live in NYC/LI ..got allot of family/friends there..so far all are safe. Some lost power... The damage I've tallied from family/friends is... 1 house destroyed, 6 cars totaled, 2 motorcycles washed away, 5 boats washed away/lost and 1 restaurant flooded...

Lost a couple of apprx. 80ft pines on my road(some near my house). So I'll be without power for a few more days. But at least everyone is safe and no homes were destroyed!

posting from work for the time being!

Good to hear people reporting in with family in tact and accounted for. I hope others check in as well.

Good to hear from everyone. We came out okay down here in Richmond. My sister lives on 1st Ave in Manhattan and I haven't heard from her since last night. She said the power was out and the water was rising but that she was okay. She lives on one of the higher floors at least. Still though, I wish I could hear from her. If anyone is in that area and can give an update it would be much appreciated. Thank you and stay safe.

Glad to hear everyone doing well! Thoughts and prayers from me and mine to you and yours.

Thanks for the concern Dave. I personally didn't get much damage, or have any problems, for that matter, in eastern PA. Power stayed on most of the night, and I was in the company of friends.

Stick, I'm glad you're ok, from what I understand NYC got messed up pretty bad. Wanted to share a few pics I saw, shows how much damage these storms can do. Terrible for the people that have to go through it.

We honestly don't know if everyone is ok. Those who were seriously affected by it will be out of power and without internet. Its best to keep praying for those affected.

Yeah... I'm getting anxious with no word from one particular person. I'm going out tomorrow with a couple of people to look for him, as well as lend a pump to some folks, since we may be able to "borrow" one from our college campus. I hope that works out. I've been feeling ridiculously useless these last couple days and I'm not going to class or work for the rest of the week. I figure I should at least make myself more useful, since my neighborhood is pretty much alright. Ugh. Freaking nightmare out there, not looking forward to seeing Long Island tomorrow.

Ive been following it but had to take a break because it was stressful just seeing the pics and reading about it, cant imagine what it would be like to be there.

My friend who lives in Mastic lost his 2 boats...his 1969 Camaro prostreet, and the Tilt I convinced him to buy :( (was in the boat he was winterizing..
