OK, I'm on the fence on this
I'm contemplating polishing my large 21. I have regular, fine and ultra fine scotchbrite pads.
I have done this before on my sage 2 and it looked beautiful, no marks. It looked like it came that way from the factory. Now my lrg 21 is a bit of a different story, its not a cheap knife. I guess my question to y'all is if I do it will it affect my warranty and can it be blasted back? Still don't know if I will do it but I was very pleased with the outcome of the sage. Please fellow knife-a-holics give me some insight, I would greatly appreciate any input. Thanks for your help and if I do it I will make sure to post pics

It can be blasted back...but there was an incident not too long ago where someone had scotchbrited it too much and the handles were uneven and they wouldnt reblast it or something... the warranty got a little funky. I'm sure you can find it in this sub forum a few pages back.

Anyhow, a lot of people do it and it seems fine if you do it carefully and evenly...but if you kind of just go at it and forget what you are doing while you watch the TV for a few hours that might not be too good...

I prefer the blasted finish and wear marks, haven't ever scotchbrited my crk.

I really like the look of a scotchbrighted CRK. Just not the Sebenza. I think the Umnumzaan, specifically the star-tac look great scotchbrighted.

Keep as-is. You ARE risking voiding the warranty, though only CRK can tell you, but it would be AFTER the damage is done before they would evaluate.

That's why I'm asking. Its not worth it for me to risk it. I haven't seen a polished sebenza either. Thanks y'all, IMA leave it be

Leave it. Carry it. "Pocket polish" it.

Scotchbrighting looks silly, feels slippery, and might void the warranty.

Well I like em polished, I couldn't care less if it voids the warranty, I sure wish I would have never sold these two

Thanks for showing that, I don't like the polished sebenza look I know now. Thanks for your help

I prefer the blasted look, it wears better and you won't void your warranty

Well, I did it, heres a PIC next to my tnk tanto for comparison
