To Re-profile a Combo Edge!

OK I'm new to Emerson's, just purchased a CQC 10 w/combo edge. I've basically just touched up the factory edge with a Sharpmaker, then a little stropping and I'm very happy with it, at least for now. What I'm wondering, should I re-profile the asymmetric factory edge and equalize both edges? Maybe only equalize the plain edge, or the entire edge? What's the general consensus with regard to Combo edges.

Iv put a bevel on the other side for a friend on his persian.
I personaly think it made little to no differnce over all, but he seemed quite pleased with it.

If your thinking of doing that to the serated part of a blade I would defo. advise against doing it.

I actually quite like the single bevel and its one of the characteristics of Emerson knives

After using a single bevel exclusively for a few months I have come to greatly prefer it, especially come sharpening time.

i would leave it as it came, if ya want a traditional std "V" buy a traditional std "V".

and that comes from someone who has seen them done horribly bad to professionally - i had a commander someone had reground to a std "V", i ended up swapping for a stock commander, i just prefer the way they come, except for possibly a krein rebevel,

It is growing on me, even after just a couple of days. I'm going to leave as is and see what happens. If nothing else, it is dirt simple to sharpen freehand with a diamond rod.

Thanks to all who replied.
