To reblade or more...

I have an older (by older I mean ~5 years) CQC-7B that I was thinking about getting rebladed for aesthetic reasons (read: black finish is gone and I want a waved stone washed blade), but then I got to thinking about maybe getting the blade reground and refinished instead. Suggestions? Thoughts? Ideas?

I would go with a regrind, but that's just me. Re-blade if you want to keep the warranty though.

Could probably sell that one and buy a new one for less than the cost of a new blade.

Lightly used 7s have been selling for $100-$130 on a couple different forums lately, I've been considering another one myself. I believe a reblade is $125, so I'd get another knife and keep the one you have as a backup/beater/car knife.

You can buy a brand new CQC-7B for $125-145 from several online vendors (NOT e-bay).

I'd leave yours alone, unless the edge is recurved from over sharpening or something equally aweful, and just buy another. It never hurts to have a spare Emerson...

Looks like this is the way I'm gonna go. Thinking about picking up a 7V to try out.
