To Spa or not to Spa...that is the question.

I recently picked up a used small regular (BG-42). The knife shows the expected cosmetic signs of use. I bought the knife from a member here and he bought it from the man himself in 1997 at a show in Greensboro NC.

Would you send it to the Spa or leave it as is? I'm on the fence.

I agree... If you intend on keeping it then start wih a clean slate and make it your own.

Use the heck out of it then send it in when/if actually necessary. ;)

I say keep it as is. If it were mine and I sent it in to the spa it would come back so minty that I would feel like babying it so as not to put marks on it.

Buying one already worn means you can just throw it in your EDC rotation and use it as Chris intended, rather than feeling like being careful not to mark it up.

Maybe it's just me though...

You bought a user..............

Use it

Kind of a strange question.
Like, should I wash my truck tomorrow?

Up to you..

If you're going to safe queen the thing,
the Spa probably won't get any cheaper.

If you're going to use it, I seriously doubt any of
the previous owners' bad habits will rub off on you..

Send it to CRK for a refresh. . . . .then you can put your own handling marks on it. :D

Jason, I reblast my Sebenza's with a finer ceramic bead. Then you don't have worry about scuffing the titanium handles. Larry

The knife below is my user.

Thanks for all the comments so far. I'll put some pictures up tomorrow.

Here is what two of mine looked like coming back from the spa. Only the handles were blasted--the blades were pristine already so there was no need to have anything done to them.

Tiburon - you have the perfect combination IMHO.
Classic(or 21) for the large, regular for the small.

Here are the pics....still in great shape. The bag is starting to yellow a bit though. :)
