To swedge or not to swedge?

I am going to send my large regular Sebbie in for the ol' double lug treatment. I am wondering if I should have a swedge ground on the blade? Can anyone post a picture of a regular Sebbie w/ swedge.

Thanks,

Mark.

There is probably a good chance that one already exists somewhere on BFC. Have you tried doing a search here in the CRK forum or in the Gallery?

Thanks for the quick response and sorry for the redundant thread. My original search was not very refined.

Looks like the swedge adds a bit more point, that might just be perfect for the regular blade profile. I might as well go for a polish as well. The works!!

:)

On all my large regular Sebenza's I've gotten the swedge. It really adds to the usefullness of the knife. Better penatration, easier slicing ability, not to mention good looks. I really like it on my large wood inlayed Sebbie. With the addition of the duel thumb studs, you can't go wrong!;)

I paln n getting a large regular with a swedge, that is the only thing mine is mising now:)

I don't know the exact measurements of how much metal is removed. . .but adding a swedge doesn't weaken the tip.

If it did. . .CRK wouldn't offer it ! :)

Congrats on the super-mega four year old bump

A simple, quick, easy search yielded these results:

Please do a search next time ;)

I just got a Sm. Reg. Seb w/ Swedge in today! I was unsure about it but always like the idea. I can honestly say I will probably never buy another or order another Regular Sebenza without it! Its really cool!
I think I may send in my Lg. Reg. BG42 and have a swedge added to it now. The only problem I can see is if you, like me, use a Lg. Reg for outdoor use, if batoning the blade then it poses the problem of sticking in the wood, the swedge is pretty sharp. But, on the other hand, I guess thats what my Mtn. II is for:) That and I wish the swedge was tumbled like the rest of the blade. I may ask about that when I send it in. I'll post pics when I can.

Love the Swedge!
