I said it'd be up this week, and it's up, though I had to cut it to the wire.

Again, if you haven't signed up for a username and password, you need to do so at http://www.bladeforums.com/magazine/subscribe.shtml

If your have signed up for a username and password and haven't been activated yet, I'll be adding more accounts tonight. If you prepaid for your magazine subscription, I'll be adding your account when you sign up right away.

If you haven't paid for your subscription, your account won't be processed until Monday.

BTW, we have password protection in place right now - accounts that log in with multiple different IP addresses will be deleted immediately and no refund will be issued. So don't hand out your Username and password if you don't want your account yanked...

This is just a safety measure on our part to protect against password sharing... you should be able to log on from both work and home...

Hi Kevin,

Does this mean if we go on vacation we will not be able to access the mag for fear of account termination?

Later,
John

No, you don't have to worry about that. The protection is against multiple different blocks of IP's logging in during a specific time frame. If you go on vacation, it shouldn't be a problem.

Alright! Looks really cool in there

. Just one thing I can't find that I read about being in here. The Rc tests for the 9 year old ATAK that failed HT. Weren't they supposed to be in the Jan issue?

Sincerely,
Adam

Would using multiple ISPs cause a problem with this IP thing ? I have about 7 different ones (ISP's, that is).

Llamedos,
I think you're safe as long as there aren't 7 versions of you logging in at the same time.

Yes, 7 different ISP's will get your account pulled. Pick one or two and stick with them when you access... just like any other password protection site. If you use all 7 the same night to access, your account *will* be pulled... because the software will read that as someone having handed out their password...

Great magazine. It was worth the wait. I hope the results of the votes be listed in the next issue.

Wow really impressed with all the research each author put into their work. Great job Bram, Bob, Dexter, Kevin, and Mike.

Guys nice work on the magazine, I know it was a lot of hard work, it shows. I hope I can offer some comments without getting banned or flamed. First of all, the type is way too small, I'm going blind trying to read it, it's way smaller than even the posts here on the Forums. Second the layout, there is just so much wasted space, for that column on the far right, why don't you just box it in? Third the over all look, it looks more like a news letter than a magazine, any chance of some more interesting layouts?
I'm glad to support BladeForums, and I don't mean to be picky, but if your trying to attract subscribers there is some room for improvement.
Just one man's opinion.

Great job guys, I loved it!!

Here are my only complaints: The paper used for this mag was to thin, the pages kept tearing. Also, I think I am allergic to the ink as I am starting to halucinate!!

I did think it would be longer though. Mike, will the next issues be BIGGER!! Or should we expect them all to be about this big. Either way I loved it.

Last but not least, when should we expect each new isue. Will each new issue be ready the 1st of every month??

Spark,
Lets say I decide to go to a friends house with my laptop.I want to show him this cool article I read.I use the remote dial up from Road Runner, which gives me a different IP.So then what?I get my account yanked?Does this just work when the account is signed on at the same time?
Thanks,

Life is like a box of chocolates, never know what your gona git!

they just check the IP simultaniously.
if you login with 2 computers with different IP at the same time, you're screwed. but not many people can be in that situation. so be careful if you are.
