To those who laugh at burr metal ingestion. Here is some info from both AI search engines and random internet search.

The other day when I had asked if ingesting a burr was harmful or not. A few clowns thought it was funny to smear me in the dirt and make stupid jokes at my expense.
It is a crying shame that asking a question such as this in a knife forum gets smeared by the same clowns.
Who have entirely too much time on their hands and only troll other members.
But yet these same jokers never get tired of the classic questions like is D2 good steel? Or is Cold Steel a good knife?
Yeah, try to ask a thought provoking question or a different topic on knives. Instead of the same thing.
And you get shamed by the good ole boy internet commandos who pretty much ruined blade forums since 2010.
Yeah, I been around far longer than you think.
Well, The context of my question was in the thought of working in a kitchen restaurant environment where chefs often swipe their knives repeatedly on a honing steel.
And most do not have the time to sharpen knives with a 3 stone system and a strop to finish it off.
Since they work in a chaotic fast paced kitchen food environment.
And the slight possibility of a burr break off in food may be looked over accidentally.
Anyways, Here is some info I found from a 5 minute internet search from both AI and also websites.
Go ahead and laugh and make your cheap comments. I got plenty of time to weed out people and place them on ignore.
As I am too old and have too much class to entertain fools.
From Random internet search:
Yes, ingesting a knife burr, which is a small, sharp piece of metal that can be produced when sharpening or using a knife, can be harmful.
If swallowed, it could potentially cause injury to the mouth, throat, esophagus, or digestive tract.
Sharp objects can lead to cuts, tears, or other serious injuries, and may also pose a risk of infection.
If someone has ingested a knife burr or any sharp object, it is important to seek medical attention immediately.
The point is. Asking a question about a knife and the possibility of injesting a burr is not a crime. Nor does it make someone stupid.
It's a shame for long time members to shit on other members who ask questions and try to learn. Then they go on for weeks about the question that was asked in random posts from other members.
Which is not even a part of the other members posts or questions.
To anyone who feels need to sling shit at me. Just hit that ignore button. And I will do the same.
I am here to enjoy good company and try to learn. Not deal with narcissistic and spiteful trolls.

So, link to the supposed person eating a burr and it being a thing?...

I think we all agree that eating a piece of steel is probably not good for you. I think most of us that have dabbled with AI search results are comfortable saying that you need to be very careful what you trust it spitting out.

The point is that I don't think any of us have ever heard of a person eating a burr and it being something that caused real harm. The human body is pretty damned effective when it comes to passing things. I would think it would be more likely for someone to swallow part of a toothpick and it be more likely to do damage.

I won't condone anyone ribbing you harder than you would like, but if we are talking about things to be fretful about on the tail end of 2024, accidentally eating a small piece of metal that might fall off chef's knife and having it cause internal damage is like, way, WAY, down the list.

So in the spirit of learning from good company, may I please see the links from what you found?

I agree with SG on all four of his points.
AI is known to provide spurious results.
Google results are limited by the readers ability to lock in to the exact issue and understand the search results.
No one here has heard of a burr being a health issue.
Vitriol of any type is not an appropriate response to an honest question.

Since the OP has answered his own question to his satisfaction, there is no need for further posting here.
