I am by nature a person that belives when you buy somthing like
a knife, that you should use it no matter how much you paid
for it. But as of late there are people friends/co-workers
that cant belive there eyes when I pull out a 350.00$
knife and use it to cut open a box or chop a branch off a
tree in the yard.. So I was curious am I crazy or do others
feel the way that I do..

I use $400 knives to cut open boxes at work!! Naw, I am with you, I buy user knives!!

Nah, ain't crazy I do it all the time, what's the point of havin' a blade if you ain't gonna use it?

Thank god I was starting to think I lost a screw..

I have expensive knives that I use and I have expensive knives that I will never use. It's your knife and it is up to you if you use it or not. What other people think should have no bearing on whether you use the knife.

I buy knives that I think will be fun to use, and use them (no matter what the price) is what I do.

Words of wisdom. This can relate to most things in life.

I use a $20 removable blade Stanley razor knife for boxes. I use a $10 axe to cut branches in the yard. I carry a Bowie a Cherokee brother custom made for me when I hike, hunt, or otherwise go outing. He usually sells similar items at $300 or so. It's up to you how you use your money.

I dont stare out the window hoping the truck will come down the road in anticipation of the boxes I could cut with a knife. We buy knives because we enjoy them. If you buy a $300 sebenza, and stick it up on a display never to be used, good for you. It's a work of art and can be used as one. It's also a great knife, and can be used as one. Which knife you use for what task is nobody's buisness.

I could not agree more.
