I purchased a limited edition 112 with green micarta scales, nickel bolsters, and s30v blade. This knife was limited to 100 made. The question is, should I EDC it or put it in the safe? These rarely come up for sale and I've been searching for one for over a year. Any thoughts?

It also has the BCCI tang stamp! Use it and don't abuse it.

If your speaking of one of the Heritage series models... I have the Duke from that series and have been everyday carrying it for years (since it's introduction). I like everything about it. I give mine a workout when the opportunity arises. DM

Use it and wear it proudly that's what they are made for ,

and if you need a safe queen get another one , It's a great knife .

I'll give you some. Here's my Duke about to assist me processing a Gambel quail. A fine day afield with my dog and 1100. DM

I use most of mine. I really wanted a Buck TNT for years and stumbled into one of the carbon fiber versions. I carry it some and really enjoy it. That is what they are made for so don't worry about it.

I will say....save it if you are 1. Going to make a 112 collection to display in your home or at some knife event. 2. Going to get the others in the series of the Green Micarta scales for collection. USE IT, if you like to carry 112s and aren't one of the two above.

I carry a old special scaled 112 on my belt on deer size and above hunts, seems to be a spirit thing. I have a stag handle 112 to fondle with other stags during a personal stag festival and sometimes carry for special occasions around my Rancher BrotherInLaws to make them jealous.

David, your butt plate is really offset.....did everyone notice the electric line in the background of the photo, that's known as "the end of the line".

Yes, the adjustable butt plate is needed because of a long neck and I shoot with my head more upright because I leaned it during Trap shooting. Haa, getting a meter loop off a rural power line today is pricey. For small game and fish or cutting apples and cheese at lunch I enjoy using my Heritage Duke. Only I wash it between uses. I like the shedua handled 112 too. DM

Reminds me of my days at Fort Bliss, and driving to Whitesands and back threw las Cruses to El Paso.

You should do what you want to with it... It's your knife... Like JB said, if use it don't abuse it and it will last a life time...

I wish I had one... :)

you couldn't have put it more clearly,
why doubt it rarity now?
in the long term the secondary market prefers minty nib...

I'm using it. I can always get it refurbished down the road if needed. On a side note, the blade is off center to the point it's almost rubbing. Is this something Buck can fix?
