Just got this off of the exchange. It feels great in hand and I feel like using it.
Do you guys have any low number limited or special editions that are users?
Also how much would this cost in a year if not used?
And do I need to keep infi oiled for it not to rust?

Obviously a fake. You must send it to me immediately for proper disposal.

Nice score. I would use it. I have one in my glove box.:D

use it. Im sure SY can clean it up and make it look like new as long as you dont mess with the lines too much.

I plan to use this for the first time next week in the hills of PA, VERY EXCITED

Use it and beat it. The value won't change much in a year and the LEs and SEs were the only blades made from INFI...so IMO the value is in the steel not the number. If it was #1 you could expect a little bump in the price.

I have used a 1 of 14 that was new when I got it as well as a 1 of 1 prototype that was already used when I got it.

Use it!

Beat the Freaking Snot out of it...Bang on it....Pound on It....Chop with it....Carve with it......

!!!!!!USE THE FREAKING HELL OUT OF IT!!!!!!

:p

i wouldn't use it.

#00 has a pretty high cool factor. never seen one before.

I agree. I like to collect and have just a certain few too use. Something like that I would keep pristine, and oil doesn't hurt. If you don't have any intent to collect, then use it until you can't lift your arm anymore. Then switch to your other hand.

sure, #00 is a neat number. but:

to use INFI is to love it.

to let it sit somewhere unused is to abuse it.

it's a tool, not an interest bearing CD...

use the **language** out of it.

I agree I think it would be cooler to beat the crap out of a limited edition

Great post..!

Interesting... I've never seen a "00" knife before. I guess that it has a license to thrill? ;)

Being as I like to collect as well as use, personally I'd keep it mint and get another for use, but if you don't care about the collecting aspect of knife ownership, then prepare to get thrilled!

As for value, yes, it might gain a little...maybe even a little more that #1 from the same series, but it'll never make you rich. These were pretty reasonably priced. :)

As for low number users, no... I collect #27 LE's for that purpose (low, but not really low or special to most anyone else), and all I have are used or will be used because I would never want to sell them.

I know lots of folks buy knives for investment purposes. Thats fine, and I have no problem with it.

Personally, if I buy a knife, it's gonna get used, and used hard.

Its like this use it or lose it i think. Some old hog around here once told me their on loan anyway. But i'd have a really hard time using this one.

Trust me. Find a tree limb, cardboard box, etc. and whack it once. The knife is then technically used. You can then relax and enjoy using the knife. This is at least how I have gone about things with a couple of my Busses. I sit around going "man, I really want to beat on this knife in the woods...but...it will be worth more down the line in pristine condition". Then you realize that its not going to make a big enough difference, as if you were throwing away an investment. You will appreciate the knife that much more if you use it hard. Its the act of using the tool that allows you to form a bond with it, and enjoy it for what it is. Sorry if this sounds too philosophical....just my 2 cents.:p
