to wait, or not...

I've done the due diligence and used the search feature, but I would like some additional opinions...

Should I go ahead and order an EDC in 420hc, or wait a month for the 154cm version?

I want a new daily carry knife - I like my spydie endura, but it is a bit large, and I'm tiring of the frn handle.

The EDC looks beautiful and functional to me (I wish my wife would let me buy one from Mr. Ralph, but it just ain't gonna happen

Usage and preferences:

1)I take fairly good care of my knives, but not always, so stain resistance is important
2)I don't mind sharpening my knives - it gives me a reason to play with'em when I don't have anything to cut...
That is, edge retention is not as important to me as edge taking - does the 420 take a good sharp edge?
3)Occasionally, when working around the house, I've been known to do stupid things with my knives, like cutting holes in drywall(my spydies have handled that pretty well), or stripping copper wire, and yes, gasp, occasionally prying something open (my aus-8 spydies have all done well here)

my favorite steels are 1095 and 1084 - any chance of an EDC in that?

So, whaddya think? Get it now or wait?

Wait and get the 154CM version

Don't wait, go ahead and pre-order the 154CM and you will have something to anticipate in April.

I pre-ordered both of the 154CM's and can hardly wait until they come out.

I got one of the Arclites in the 420 and it takes an edge quite well. I haven't used it much except to open envelopes and packages, but I haven't sharpened it except for the 1st time.
