Toad Configurations?

Hello to one and all. Lucky me, my girlfriend is getting me a Toad for Valentines day and I have a question concerning the best blade configuration. Plain or Spyder? I would like the Spyderedge, but I have noticed with the smaller serrated knives that material is harder to cut b/c of the serrations getting snagged. And since the toad is the smallest of them all...
Thanks to all,
Jazzman

Hey Jazz-
I carry my Toad alot in my dress pants to work. My preference is plain edge. It depends on what you use it for. I find that if I have more aggressive things to do I will get one of my larger Spyderco's to do the job. Just my 2cents worth.

Go for plain edge.
Why would you want serrations on a "domestic knife"?
The Toad is a letter-opener and a cuticle tool, but it is so fun to play with.
The smallest but strongest liner-lock in my collection.
I heve three of them-all are plain-edge blades.
These little dudes come sharp and sharpen better than most Spidercos (IMO).

I also would recommend that you ask her to get you the plain-edged version. It is sufficient for light cutting chores and could be a plus if you decide to carry it with you on an airplane.

Edit: Maybe you should ask her to buy two--very likely she might swipe yours in the future.
