Toaster oven???

This morning i was standing, half asleep looking down on the toaster wondering if the ceramic heating rods could be used for a small haettreat oven?
Does the heating elements in a toaster get hot enough to do some good, or was i still dreaming?

my last toaster oven has lasted 5 years a cheap black @ decker 3o bucks make sure it has a clear door i use it for tempering carbon steel only
