Walking in our second facilities where 200 orangutans rehabilitated.
Today after in the last two nights had rain, whole nights.
Peat swamp water, just like a tea, the Dayak believe that wounds will easily recover if we soak it in the peat swamp water.
Grass called hair of wild boar, bigger version of this grass used to make mattress looks like tatami for tameshigiri
Even the Melaleuca start to flowering again! We use this tree in our wetland system (a system on filtering water, found in America years ago, actually the system just similar with peat swamp forest did). The root of this tree is perfect to filter water from septic tank
Flower of kangkung, edible plant, steam it eat it with hot chili sauce, or stir it, we can make it into various dishes. Some people called it morning glory, not sure the English term.
Fungi start to grow after about 1.5 months full of sun and then we had two days in a row heavy rain
Tiny mushroom
Really tiny
Another fungi
Bamboo which we plant to reduce the erosion, looks fresh after almost died
Whoaaa, nearly deserted land
The wasp not active yet, too cold ;D
On the way back to main facilities (where has nearly 300 orangutans)
Finally found it, I thought that no more white ground orchid flowering
Warmest regards from Borneo,
Anton
