in a few more hours i go drop bags and pick up my weapon. then its hurry up and wait for the next umpteen hours, destination iraq with a short stop in kuwait. i think its nerves but, i just felt the urge to say a few words.

it's weird the way, i've been around these here forums for so many years, and contribute so little. other than the occasional bout of boredom, or over asked question " what sheath will work with my....?", i pretty much stay in my own little corner. but it is good to be around people that understand the value of a good knife. we truly are small in number, i thought i had it rough as a gun nut, but we are closer and that is good. every time i stumble across that person carrying a good knife it always goes well, with satisfying discussion of edge profiles, heat treatings, new vs old steels and so on. told many about the forums and spread the gospel of infi. some take to it, some don't. in the end it is good conversation anyway.

i remember the first time i heard about busse combat, infi and how great it all is. my first thought was BS! and i just had to see it for myself. my first was a basic7 that i picked up from here. used but well cared for. ok so i seen it for myself, then i gave it away to a friend, because he needed a wonder knife and my true love has always been the battle mistress. i think i am jinxed for that knife. maybe ill get a chance to tell that story sometime.

Take care my friend, be safe and return to tell us your O.K. Thanks for the service to keep us free.

Try to maintain situational awareness, know when to put the cap on the camera lense.

Band-aid, I'm sorry that you gotta go there, to Iraq. It breaks my heart every time I hear that someone else has to deploy to these hot zones. PLEASE check your 'six' constantly, and watch those hands. 2 hands per person in plain sight and you get to 'play' another day... Be safe, stay well, come home soon!
