It was a nice day in the low 80`s today, so Connie and I decided to take a hike in Kankakee State Park. We did a total of 6.5 miles today, and thought you might like to see a few photos.

Looks like a great day for a hike. Illinois has some really pretty places to walk through. What blade did you take?

Sounds like a great selection.

That looks a lovely area to spend a day John, thanks for sharing the pics buddy !

Great shots, looks like a nice area. I have noted the locations of several walnut trees in the area I hike the most in and wind my hikes through those places in the Autumn and winter. It's nice having black walnuts for a snack when I'm out :)

John, looks like you had a fun time out. I like holloween tree lol. That is pretty cool.

Great looking trek. Next time I'm in IL I will have to get off the farms and out there. Thanks for posting.

Hi John -

Very nice pictures! I love the Halloween tree, and I see what she means! You should take a knife or two with you and take pictures of your blades in those locations, especially the tree!

Looks like a nice park brother. Thanks for posting. My wife and I recently went to Starved Rock State Park. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...te-Park-With-The-BK14-(Extremely-Photo-Heavy)

Hey Warrior - You should come up to the Gathering on Aug 27 - check John's forum for the thread - I can offer a ride if you are anywhere remotely near the Peoria / Bloomington area.

best regards -

Thank you!
