The postman was very kind to me today.
Sand blasted frame and hardware, OD scale, gen4 slicer flipper :D

I had imagined wanting blue standoffs, but I think these need to stay, the whole knife looks complete as is.

It's so much larger than my 3", I really wonder if I will keep the XM-24. The 2 XM-18's really complement each other. :p

Congratulations.

As for the 24. Before you set her free you might want to entertain adding it to a camp/BOB/road trip essentials gear bag. It's one folding Hinderer that would be missed if ever truly needed.

x2 NOT kidding, one of each size is a great thing BUT if I had to do without one - the 3".
Now, before I get jumped - I love my 3" which is why I said IF I HAD to do without one size it wouldn't be the 24.
As N2K said, or alluded to (I'm saying balloon goes up, zombie apocolypse, whatever) the 24 is a full size fixed blade that folds. Beast of a Knife, Very capable!
If I had to only have one it would probably have to be the 24 (just in case) even though the 3.5" is what is in my pocket the most.
I haven't been bitten recently either ;)

It's kinda simple thinking on my part...if I want a beastly capable folder...go with the beastiest of the options.

Awesome looking knife! I'm carrying a slightly pimped 3.5" slicer flipper these days myself.

Is this factory? Ive never seen an all blasted XM before. What would look even better is the Ti scale to match!

Yes, this is factory. In fact, this knife may have been mine not too long ago, I'm not sure. It's blasted lockside/stonewashed blade.

I asked Rob via PM, this is the response I got:

That's a finish we do on show knives, looks like the real deal.

I am going to order a sandblasted Ti scale when they make them for G4 :)

Yes its factory, I had a couple of 3.5" slicers that had sand blasted frame and liners, still regret selling them, you don't see them to often.

Never saw a sandblasted pivot and standoffs before, that's very unique, great score !

Here you see the differences: Bead blasted, Sand Blasted and Stonewash
